Lists have to be maintained within the framework of the Data Protection and also the Freedom of Information legislation. Data must be regularly screened against registers like the TPS (Telephone Preference Scheme), FPS (Fax Preference Scheme) and CTPS (Corporate Telephone Preference Scheme). Use of email addresses and opt-in clauses can all restrict the use of information collected by companies and individuals.
RMS complies with scanning its own lists every 28 days to ensure compliance with current legislation. If RMS purchases lists from 3rd parties it insists on compliance by those suppliers too.
